Since its opening in 1997, Molyvos has been dishing out authentic Greek cuisine to Manhattan’s Midtown West neighborhood. Before (or after) a show at the nearby Carnegie Hall, pop into the upscale restaurant and enjoy a delicious cocktail, like the Spartan Blood and Sand. Wine Director Kamal Kouiri adds Pama Liquor for a pomegranate flavor that “contributes to [the drink’s] velvety texture, and serves as a reminder that fall is upon us.”
SPARTAN BLOOD AND SAND
2 oz. Premium Bourbon
½ oz. Pama Pomegranate Liquor
½ oz. Dolin Sweet Vermouth
1 oz. Fresh-squeezed orange juice
2 Drops of Jack Rudy Cocktail Co. Small Batch Grenadine
Fill a rocks glass with ice. Pour all ingredients in the order listed above and stir well. Garnish with an orange twist and Maraschino cherry and serve immediately.
