We’ve all seen those artfully stacked, brightly colored cocktails that are so pretty you almost don’t want to take a sip. The thought of perfecting this ultimate tricolor layering technique might seem intimidating but Absolut has made it simple and easy with this crafty (and festive) cocktail recipe. Get ready to show off your mixing skills this holiday weekend with the Absolut Sparkler cocktail in hand.

The Fourth of July fell on a midweek hump day this year giving us a reason to celebrate all weekend long, so get your cameras poised for this Instagram-ready libation. Begin with a highball glass filled with ice and add Blue Curacao to create the first layer. Slowly add the cranberry juice followed by Absolut vodka and lemon lime soda. The key to such a skillful stack is to add each layer delicately while gravity works its magic. The deliberate arrangement is due to each liquid’s differing density, hence the sustaining separation. The lime juice top-off and garnish disguises the initial taste of vodka, since it’s the first flavor to taste as it sits on the top layer. Now, post your picture and get sipping for a weekend of extended holiday celebrations. #AbsolutAmerica[1]

ABSOLUT SPARKLER:
1 part Absolut Vodka
.5 parts Blue Curacao
2.5 parts Cranberry juice
2.5 parts Lemon Lime Soda
Lime squeezed

Preparation: Fill a highball glass with ice. Add all ingredients slowly. Squeeze lime juice into the glass. Garnish with a lime wedge.

Note: The most important thing is to add the different layers/liquids slowly.
