A Chandon Summer

There are plenty of ways to celebrate the fact that it’s finally summer, but one of the most enjoyable is by popping a limited-edition bottle of Chandon American Summer[1].

The California sparkling wine[2], now in its 40th year, is celebrating summer with the release of a nautical-inspired red, white and blue bottle—as well as a matching champagne bucket and summery frock created by fashion designer Trina Turk.

“Chandon is a California classic, so being a California-based designer, it’s a natural fit,” Turk says. “When they invited me to design items inspired by the American Summer bottle, I was excited. The red, white and blue stripe on the dress and ice bucket correspond with the modern nautical design of the bottle, which reminds me of my favorite things: the beach, warm summer nights[3], and casual-chic American style[4].”

As for how she’ll spend her own summer, Turk says she and husband Jonathan Skow will be traveling to Berlin and Capri. In addition to packing her bags, the designer notes, “I love spending time by the pool or beach, a good road trip, and entertaining poolside. I also love to cook—I use fresh local ingredients and serve guests my favorite Chandon cocktail—sparkling Rosé with fresh squeezed pink Palm Springs grapefruit.”

Sounds like a perfect way to celebrate the season.
