When it comes to decorating, it’s a toss-up as to who should be more envied: the clients of top designers or their family members. Supporting the latter’s position is the comprehensive book Designers at Home[1] (Rizzoli) by Ronda Rice Carman[2]. The amazing residences of 50 top design talents show that they don’t use all their inspiration (and best pieces) for the people who hire them—there’s plenty of magic left for their own nests.
