Even at 15 years old (a birthday it’s celebrating this year), the Food Network & Cooking Channel South Beach Wine & Food Festival[1] is cooking up some firsts.  With more than 75 events filled with culinary experts from around the world, this festival—running from February 24-28—is a mecca for foodies and wine connoisseurs.

Below, check out this year’s most unexpected events.

Nutrish’s Yappie Hour

Bring your pooch to Nutrish’s Yappie Hour

Join Rachael Ray and festival founder Lee Schrager at this event where ticket buyers are encouraged to bring their dogs[2]. Snacks and treats from Nutrish will be provided for the dogs, as well as vodka cocktails and other libations for their owners.

YogArt’s Buddha and Bellinis

Exercise at YogArt’s Buddha and Bellinis

This event, which runs on two separate days, offers morning yoga sessions near the pool at the world-famous Oasis at The Raleigh Hotel. Rejuvenate your body and enjoy some Bellinis and light bites as you prepare for the day’s activities.

Cheer on chef “athletes” with Tervis Wine Glass

Tervis Wine Glass, the popular insulated drinkware brand, is teaming up with Chef Spike Mendelsohn to bring South Beach its first-ever No Glass by the Pool Party Chef Olympics. On Friday afternoon at The Hall, local and national chefs will come together for a competitive series of pool games—think: raft relays, dive contests, Marco Polo and more. Competing in two teams against one another, we’ll see which chefs reign supreme to be the kings and queens of the SOBEWFF.

Extinguish your hunger at Fireman Derek’s Midnight Breakfast hosted by Chrissy Teigen

Everyone knows that firehouses across the country feature outstanding communal meals, and now you’ll be able to try some of those bites in a raucous overnight party. Chrissy Teigen[3] hosts her first SOBEWFF event with Miami-based firemen until 2 a.m.

Keep it kosher at the Exploring Israel Dinner

Coming off a recent trip to Israel, James Beard award[4]-winning chefs Ashley Christensen, Alon Shaya and Michael Solomonov extend their culinary tour to festivalgoers with the addition of the very first kosher dinner at SOBEWFF.
