Luck Be a Lady Every Night in Las Vegas

Steve Wynn’s nightclubs regularly book the world’s biggest DJs, but despite his EDM credentials, the Vegas mogul remains a Broadway guy at heart. His new song-and-dance production, ShowStoppers[1], is an elaborate, elegant tribute to the days when there was no business like show business. The Wynn Las Vegas[2] extravaganza features stars of stage and screen offering all kinds of razzle dazzle as they embody the sexy seediness of Chicago and Cabaret as well as the party starting vibes of Hello, Dolly and Guys and Dolls. (ShowStoppers’ version of “Sit Down, You’re Rockin’ The Boat” is as dazzling and colorful as anything you’ll see in a Vegas theater.)

And when Randal Keith and Kerry O’Malley confidently and playfully go back and forth during Irving Berlin’s “Anything You Can Do” from Annie Get Your Gun, it’s a sing-off that will give you chills. Lindsay Roginsky singing “All I Need Is One Good Break” with “If My Friends Could See Me Now” back to back is another wonderful throwback moment, but it also feels very much like Vegas[3] in 2015—a place where the ultimate glamour is being part of the show.
