DVF Loves Evian

Designer Diane von Furstenberg[1]‘s creativitiy knows no bounds. Having designed everything from her fashion line to jewelry with H. Stern[2] and even a bedding collection, she’s now turned her attention to water. She has teamed up with Evian[3] to design the French company’s 2013 limited edition water bottle, which launched December 6 at Soho Beach House[4] in Miami Beach.
“I have been drinking Evian since I was a child,” she said, “and I think drinking water is one of the most important things we can do to love ourselves.” Emblazoned with the mantra “Water is Life is Love is Life is Water is” and scrawled in her own handwriting, von Furstenberg’s bottle design includes the DVF heart logo in red.
“I am a strong believer in the power of words, and this is a spin on ‘love is life’,” von Furstenberg explained. “I wrote it on the bottle myself so that it would feel really personal and also a bit whimsical.” Since Evian’s designer collaborations began in 2008—showcasing the work of such fashion talents as Jean Paul Gaultier and Paul Smith—the brand has sold more than 10 milion special bottles in over 150 countries.
